So, we love seeing positive reviews from members of the community—but we especially love seeing the benefits of having a smart brake light in real-time.
Check out this video that Nelson D shared, along with his review.

"Feels great to ride with brake free, knowing everyone can see you as you ride it’s priceless. I love this product!"
There are two critical components of this video that speak to the efficacy of Brake Free—precisely how we intended it to be.
Brake Free Makes You More Visible to Drivers
This functions in two parts as seen in this video. At a very basic level—you can see that Nelson is riding at night. His Brake Free stands out from other brake lights with its position and luminosity—even in brightly lit areas like the tunnels he rides through.
But what we really appreciate about this video is how you can see the position of his unit related to drivers around him—the unit sits at eye level with drivers on the road. One of the issues we see with taillights is just how low they are compared to other drivers.
We know drivers aren't the best at noticing motorcycles, and how low our brake lights sit doesn't help their case. With a smart brake light positioned at eye level, they're much more likely to see you in the first place.
Which leads us to point two.
Motorcycle Brake Lights Can be Hard to See
Yes, his taillight is obscured by the positioning of his camera—but that's not the point. When both are running concurrently, you can see that his Brake Free is significantly more visible from all points on the road, particularly in relation to a rider's position to other cars.
While motorcycle brake lights are a little more visible than in this video, they are significantly lower than line-of-sight for drivers—and especially more difficult to see for trucks and SUVs which sit higher than smaller sedans.
So rather than relying on a brake light that A) doesn't illuminate when engine braking, downshifting, or reducing speed in any that isn't actuating a brake lever, and B) that isn't in the typical line of sight for drivers... the solution is pretty clear.
A bright, smart brake light that stands out and makes you easier to see.
Stay Seen, the Simple Way
There's never a bad time to increase your visibility on the road—but as we head into riding season, it's important to be especially vigilant as drivers readjust to riders being back out on the road.
Order your Brake Free, stay safe, and stay seen on the road.
