We know that riding a motorcycle (or an EUC, or a scooter, or anything in which we’re not protected by a cage) carries risk: and as riders, we’re always wondering how we can improve our safety, effectively.
A person could spend thousands upon thousands of dollars in safety upgrades through various pieces of gear and gadgetry—but there’s one aspect of motorcycle safety that is often overlooked.
Accident prevention
While a good set of proper gear—helmet, jacket, pants, gloves, boots, and so forth—protects us in the event of an accident, our goal is to mitigate the risk of getting involved in an accident in the first place. In particular, accidents in which riders are struck from the rear at no fault of their own.
The unfortunate reality is that, even with significant training, skill-building, and safety gear, there’s little we can do to prevent distracted drivers from doing what they do best: not paying attention. We can make sure we’re leaving escape routes, we can be vigilant of what’s going on around us, but the fact remains. Drivers aren’t paying attention.
In May of 2025, during Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, we covered a variety of NHTSA studies that found center high-mounted brake lights offer a significant reduction in rearward crashes for all types of vehicles. Specifically, a 35% decrease.
And that’s exactly what we’re offering.
A Snap-On Motorcycle Safety Improvement
No apps, no wires, no nonsense. Just snap it onto your helmet and go. Our patented algorithm, along with a combination of accelerometer and gyrometer sensors will detect braking of any kind: regular braking, emergency braking, and engine braking.
And while we agree that proper gear is important and not to be skipped out on—we’re trying to keep you and your gear in working order by preventing accidents in the first place. Especially when the way you ride isn’t a driving factor behind them.
So for a piece of motorcycle safety tech that’s less than $200 to keep you safe and seen on the road, why wait?
