Battery Storage Recommendations
You’ll want to keep your unit charged between 40-60%, too. To check, your unit will flash twice during boot up to indicate that battery level.

Temperature Matters
When storing your Brake Free for an extended period of time, temp ranges are important. Optimal storage temps range between 59 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit (15-25 celsius).
If you’re storing your Brake Free outdoors or in a garage at colder temperatures, either drained or fully charged: there may be a reduction in life (charge cycles) and faster degradation of battery performance.
So long story short—find a nice spot indoors with your unit charged about halfway. That way, when riding season returns, your unit will be ready to go. Problem free.
My buddy and I rode to South Dakota for bike week in Aug and I had received the brake free lights a few weeks before we left from Charleston West Virginia, we changed of leading and the brake free lights really caught your attention when you were following and braking.
