      Excellent Customer Service and Product

      I ran into an issue (self induced) with my unit. I won't go into any more detail other than to say that Brake Free was incredible in helping me out and responding to my issue. I think this is an incredible invention for any rider and I won't personally ride without it because I think it can make the difference in life or death with so many distracted drivers now days. I'm a big fan of the product and the company.

      Love being more visible

      One of the best products I’ve ever bought for riding motorcycles I’ve been riding motorcycles for at least 23 years now and this product by far is the best for being visible during the day and night I would definitely recommend people by multiple units for however many helmets you have they definitely make you more visible to motorist would definitely buy again and again.

      Light good, bracket not.

      The light works nicely. Much less traffic tailgates me now. And if one does, my motion to have them back off is more effective. I like that.

      The bracket needs more engineering, a lot more. The “wings” on the outer edges should be able to touch the helmet FULLY - or any other mounting surface - fully and completely. PERIOD! If they were movable by either flexing or being hinged, a bracket would be much more adaptable. Make it larger. There is plenty of surface area and room to fit in a racket that will do the job.

      The fastening mechanism that connects the light onto the bracket would be OK if on a child’s toy. But to connect a life saving device, it should be simple and rugged. The current one is neither.

      1. Get a different engineer. One trained in America, not China.

      2. Give him/her instructions that the bracket HAS to mount securely to oddly shaped surfaces.

      3. Also instruct him/her that the light should be able to attach simply and securely, and detach easily.

      When you have successfully completed those steps, you can be pleased and proud that the system is finally complete and functioning properly. But, not until.

      Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, and for the kind words about the light itself, we're glad it's making a real difference with tailgaters.

      We also appreciate you being direct about the bracket. Here is where things stand:

      Mounting Surface / "Wings" Fit
      The current bracket is molded from a rigid plastic, which means it holds one fixed curvature and cannot flex to match every helmet shape. On more rounded helmets, this can result in the wings not sitting flush against the surface, exactly as you described. Our team is aware of this limitation. In the meantime, when a customer asks about compatibility with a specific helmet, we do let them know upfront if we anticipate a fit issue, and leave the decision to proceed in their hands. Longer term, we are actively working on a redesigned bracket intended to accommodate a wider range of helmet shapes and curvatures, including options like flexing or hinged wings, so this is not something we consider settled at the current design.

      Locking / Attachment Mechanism
      The current mechanism is intentionally simple: the unit locks in place by pushing it down onto the mount, and releases by pushing it back up from the bottom. That said, we understand "simple" and "rugged" both matter for a device people rely on for safety, and our team is actively researching alternative mechanisms that hold up to that standard.

      Engineering Team
      To clarify, our CEO, founder, design team, and engineering team are all US-based. Our China-based contacts are strictly manufacturing partners, they do not design or engineer the product.

      We want to be upfront that we do not consider this product 100% finished. We're continuing to refine it based on real-world use and feedback like yours, and this note has been shared directly with our design and engineering team as we work on the next revision.

      Life saver

      If you value your life, and love your family, purchase this. Your life is worth $160, dont be cheap. Riding differance is nite and day. I've tested this. Riding w/o it, drivers were closer. Riding with it, cars are much further away! Honestly this tech should be mandatory, and built into all helmets in the future.

      Super Safety

      I’m loving my break free helmet light. I know Car stayed behind me further now. I don’t know how bright it is when the break goes on. I run it with just the two bars. Also, I’m not sure how my riding buddies like it however, a few of them have commented that they do.
