      Something that I think should be added to the brake free light ee

      I have a problem with the brake free light keeps popping off my helmet from my leather jacket pushing it off. Luckily I have been able to retrieve it. I use a tethered string tied around the light and connected to my helmets chin strap, so I don't lose the light. It would be nice if this feature incorporated into the light.

      You absolutely need this thing.

      People not only see it, but they’ll compliment you on it at a stoplight. Super easy to mount and use, adds a fantastic extra layer of visibility, even in super bright sunlight. Even looks badass. Absolutely love it.

      Great addition to keep motorcyclists safer on the road

      40+yr rider - I purchased a competitor's rear brake light device about 10yrs ago. It worked okay. Biggest issue was is it required cutting/splicing into the wiring on a single motorcycle in order to operate . When I learned about the Brake Free device I immediately purchased it and several riding buddies have done the same. It is a no brainer to set it up. Determine fit on your helmet, stick the correct mount on the back of your helmet or your partner's helmet. Pick your desired mode and that's it. It just works! And works well on multiple bikes. I travel and rent motorcycles regularly and its nice to be able to have the rear helmet mounted brake light on whatever motorcycle I ride. Great safety product!

      Hard to turn on and off

      I would have given 5 stars but for the difficulty turning it on and off. I have to press the button for a long time and the button doesn’t really move in and out, so I can’t really tell if I’m doing anything.

      The battery life is very good.

      Hi Roberta, thank you for sharing your feedback with us and I'm sorry you are experiencing this. The first thing I would like to consider first is that you may be experiencing the power button being stiff. Yes, it's not a rubber button and it doesn't push down if you want to turn on or off. You will however hear a click. We have seen this happen on occasion. The main reason the power button is a bit stiff/firm is that to help with weather sealing we've run very very tight tolerances.

      When the Brake Free is brand new this can result in a stiff power button, after some time it will break in. If you'd like to expedite this break in time, we've had good success with pressing the power button a few dozen times with a blunt object like an unclicked pen/pencil eraser/chop stick etc. We've found that this substantially helps with the feel of the button and success rate pressing it to activation.

      We're working to improve the button further. In the meantime, I've seen a customer use a 1/4" clear cabinet bumper pad on top of the button, and he claimed it did the trick.       One more thing I can suggest is making use of the Sleep mode. Brake Free has sleep mode on 2 of the 3 running light modes (all except the pulsing mode). So in theory, you can not use the power button at all. Once the unit doesn't sense motion for 45 seconds, it will switch to sleep mode. Once the unit senses motion it will automatically power back up.
